DUTIES:
The Oklahoma City VA Medical Center Mental Health Service is recruiting for a full, current and unrestricted licensed psychologist at the doctoral level in a State, Territory, Commonwealth of the United States (e.g., Puerto), or the District of Columbia for the Substance Abuse Treatment Center (SATC). The Administrative Director (Psychologist) is the program manager of a complex mental health treatment program that delivers comprehensive, specialized substance abuse treatment services to veterans with active substance use disorders (SUD). An ability to work cooperatively and productively in a multidisciplinary team is required. The incumbent should be eligible for academic appointment to the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences in the College of Medicine at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.
Duties include:
Develops and implement program policies and procedures.
Develops and implements new SUD treatment and evaluation procedures.
Assigns treatment functions to staff.
Consults with supervisors, staff and other VA Medical Center (VAMC) SUD Program Managers and OKC VAMC Program Managers.
Works with Medical Director in the development of biological treatment programs.
Surveys patient needs, identifies and evaluates statistical data, analyzes programs.
Various supervision duties to include but not limited to; counsel, instruction, assigning, evaluates work performance, prepares schedules and provides leadership.
Work Schedule Monday Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, full-time NOTE:Some irregular tours (early morning, weekend, evening) may be intermittently required.
Relocation expenses and/or incentives have not been authorized.
